Los Angeles Literature Events: 9/21/26 – 9/27/26

Another busy week in the Greater Los Ángeles literary community. With the start of Hispanic Heritage Month last week, there are many events highlighting Latinx literature. One is the 11th Edition of the LéaLA Spanish Book Fair & Literary Festival lasting four days the 24th – 27th at LA Plaza de la Cultura y las Artes in DTLA. Check out all the events from the IE to Los Ángeles and Orange Counties. Local writers reading this week are: Yesika Salgado, Paul Vangelisti, Maurya Simon, Pam Concepcion, Kelly Lytle Hernández and Tananarive Due, among others. A Literary Festival in Historic Filipinotown

Sunday Jump recently hosted its first annual “Caution! Writers at Play” literary festival at the Pilipino Workers Center in Historic Filipinotown. Los Angeles Literature Events: 4/27/26 – 5/03/26

Another week literary festivals. There are two: 2nd Annual Santa Ana College Poetry & Literary Festival on Wednesday and Thursday and Lit Fest in the Dena on Friday and Saturday. Many local poets and writers will be featuring from Oscar Velasquez, Brenda Vaca, Dana Johnson, CB Lee, Teresa Mei Chuc and Francesca Lia Block, among others.
