It’s the middle of book festival season in the Greater Los Ángeles literary community. This weekend, The LA Get Down Festival continues at the Greenway Court Theatre and YALLWEST, a literary festival for middle and high school age readers, takes place Saturday at Santa Monica High. Local writers reading this week include: Allison Adelle Hedge Coke, Christian Perfas, Carlos Ornelas, Yesika Salgado and Marie Lu, among others.
