Join us to watch the 2017 Solar eclipse with a number of Solar Systems Ambassadors at your local Los Angeles public libraries. Free solar viewing glasses provided. Children, teens and families are welcome.

Teen’Scape program presents a creative workshop on the DIY art of writing poetry, drawing mini-comics, collaged illustration, self-publishing, and making zines.
Lou Cove, with Joel Stein, discusses and signs Man of the Year: A Memoir, which tells the story of a family in the 1970s. After his eighth move in twelve years, Lou figures he should resign himself to teenage purgatory of tedious paper routes, school bullies, and unrequited lust for girls he likes. But the arrival of an old friend of Lou’s father from California leads him to juggle the perils of adolescence with the pursuit of Hollywood stardom.
In our last branch library meeting to celebrate The Big Read this year, join us to read a poem by Emily Dickinson. Actors, poetry lovers, students, and children are invited to join us and participate.
