Lambda LitFest Event: Modern Love, Mental Wellness & Healing in LGBTQ Literature at Cal State LA
This event is part of the 2019 Lambda LitFest, and most events will be free, unless otherwise posted, and offered at various venues throughout Southern California during the next week.
Join us today at CSULA to hear Thea Monyee, therapist with Counseling and Psychological Services at CSULA, moderate a discussion with Frederick Smith and Chaz Lamar Cruz, authors of In Case You Forgot, exploring themes of wellness, and healing in LGTBQ literature.

As Labor Day is today, I have taken this week off from compiling my weekly list of Los Ángeles literary events. However, next week my weekly list of Los Ángeles literary events will return. Expect the next list to be posted sometime on Sunday the 8th.
Join Sideshow Books and host L.A. poet Brian Dunlap as they celebrate L.A.’s 238th brithday, with a night of L.A. poetry. It will take place on September 4th, from 7pm-9pm.

As a part of the Influx Colletiv’s free monthly queer poetry reading series, their August 22nd event will be held at Rabbit Hole Bar (24 W. Main St., Alhambra, CA 91801) and will feature LA based queer poets: Angie Guerrero, Rocío Carlos, librecht baker, and Ramy El-Etreby. The event begins at 8pm and they will start with an open mic. There will be happy hour during the entire evening.
