This is the next session in a free six-week Creative Writing Workshop with Cynthia Guardado, offered to writers in the community of all ages and ability levels who are over age 18, in collaboration with Crear Studio and LibroMobile, supported in part by CSUF Grand Central Art Center.

Sharon Kunde has a PhD from UC Irvine, where her dissertation proposes a post-humanist reframing of the traditional American Transcendentalist canon. Her stories and poems have been published in numerous journals, and she as a blog, Throughhike: Down in the Dirt of the California Backcountry.
Anna Scotti’s poetry has been published in the New Yorker since 2016, and elsewhere. She also writes fiction, and her short stories are regulars in Ellery Queen Mystery Magazine. Her novella, Big and Bad, is coming from Texas Review press in April. She teaches at French International School in Burbank and offers seminars and workshops to local businesses.
Meriwether Clarke is a poet, essayist, and educator , and served as Poetry Editor of Faultline Journal od Arts and Letters and her work appears in many literary journals. She serves as Contributing Editor for Entropy, where she is a volunteer editor for Trumpwatch. Her chapbook, twenty-first century woman, was recently released from Dancing Girl Press.

Fourth Sunday Poetry Reading: Marsha de la O & Jericho Brown at Claremont Library
Join Fourth Sundays Poetry at the Claremont Library to hear two acclaimed poets:
Marsha de la O will present her new book, Every Ravening Thing, as well as read from her work. Together with her husband, Ventura Poet Laureate Phil Taggert, she edits the journal Spillway.
Jericho Brown will read from his third collection, The Tradition, (Copper Canyon 2019). He is an associate professor and director of the Creative Writing Program at Emory University.

What Books Presents 4 Authors Reading at Skylight Bookstore
What Books presents four authors reading and discussing their work:
L.I. Henly presents her book, Whole Night Through, her fifth collection. With her husband, poet and percussionist Jonathan Maule, she edits the literary and visual art journal, Apercus.
Mariano Zaro is the author of four bilingual books of poetry, and has two forthcoming collections: Padre Tierra and Decoding Sparrows. His poems are included in anthologies and journals in the USA, Mexico and Spain. He is a professor at Rio Hondo Community College.
Cathy Colman won the Felix Pollak Prize in Poetry for her first book, Borrowed Dress. Her second collection, Beauty’s Tattoo, was published by Tebot Bach. Her new collection is Time Crunch. She is a former freelance reviewer for The New York Times Book Review.
Katherine Silver is a prize-winning literary translator and former director of the Banff International Literary Translation Center. Echo Under Story, from What Books Press, 2019, is her first published novel.
This is an inspirational book for children looking for support when facing a new challenge. It highlights the connection that brings families together, because no matter how far they fly or who they become, they will always have home.

An Evening with Alice Hoffman at the Skirball Cultural Center
Acclaimed author Alice Hoffman will present her sweeping new novel, Kerouac: The World That We Knew, which follows three young women in Berlin in 1941 who must act with courage and love to survive. The work asks: how much can one person sacrifice for love? And in a world where evil can be found at every turn, can we still hope that love will prevail? The author will be in conversation with Mary Hendra.
