Queer Poetry Night

By Brian Dunlap

20190814_195120As a part of the Influx Colletiv’s free monthly queer poetry reading series, their August 22nd event will be held at Rabbit Hole Bar (24 W. Main St., Alhambra, CA 91801) and will feature LA based queer poets: Angie Guerrero, Rocío Carlos, librecht baker, and Ramy El-Etreby. The event begins at 8pm and they will start with an open mic. There will be happy hour during the entire evening.

Founded in 2018 by Catherine Chen and Cori Bratby-Rudd, Influx Collectiv is a queer poetry reading series that connects LA based poets, promotes queer events, and provides a space and platform for queer creators and queer content. Influx is for audience members to hear stories that reflect their own, and for performers to find an audience who understands. They host events monthly and each reading features new poets and takes place at a different location throughout Los Angeles. Influx Collectiv was recently featured in an article by VoyageLA and can be found through our website or our Instagram. The Facebook event has all of the accessibility information posted.
