Readings by Moonrise at the Bowtie Project
Join authors David Ulin and Lynell George at the Bowtie Project for an evening around the fire to hear their favorite and new works read while the full moon rises over the L.A. River.
Hosted by Clockshop, this quarterly fireside reading series, held on the eve of the full moon, encourages guests to bring picnic items and blankets, as s’mores will be provided.
David Ulin is the author or editor of ten books, including Sidewalking: Coming to Terms with Los Angeles and a new second edition of The Lost Art of Reading. He teaches at USC.
Lynell George is a journalist and essayist, and the author of After/Image: Los Angeles Outside the Frame and No Crystal Stair: African Americans in the City of Angels. She won a 2017 Grammy for her liner notes for Otis Redding Live at the Whisky A Go Go: The Complete Recordings.
