Dave Boling at Vroman’s Bookstore

Minal Hajratwala’s books include Leaving India: My Family’s Journey from Five Villages to Five Continents (winner of four nonfiction awards), Bountiful Instructions for Enlightenment (poetry), and Out! Stories from the New Queer India (anthology).
Linda González has published essays in several literary journals and books, is a storyteller in the San Francisco Bay Area, and received her MFA in Creative Writing at Goddard College. Tisha Marie Reichle is a Chicana feminist who earned her MFA at Antioch University. Her stories have been published in numerous journals, and she is an organizing member of Women Who Submit and fiction editor at Border Series. As a high school teacher she engages students with socially conscious literature. She will begin her PhD at USC this fall.
Margaret Elysia Garcia is the author of two short story collections, Sad Girls & Other Stories and Mary of the Chance Encounters. Her newest chapbook is Recipes for Ascension.
Ramona Pilar’s most recent work appeared in the anthology Coiled Serpent. She is the author of the Claps and Cheers column for Women Who Submit. She has acted in, written and produced works of theatre and is lead singer in of the 80s tribute band called The Walkmans.

Many characters, each seeking his or her own refuge, escape and revenge, depict love, gaps in understanding, and the struggle to connect: within families, among friends, between neighbors, and entire generations.
Julie Fierro is a graduate of the Iowa Writer’s Workshop, and founded The Sackett Street Writers’ Workshop in 2002, a creative home for more than 3,500 writers in New York City, Los Angeles and Online. Her debut novel was Cutting Teeth.

She eventually found a private drug rehabilitation program and dedicated her life to supporting women from similar situations.
