The Loved Ones at Chevalier’s Bookstore
Join us to hear Sonya Chung read her groundbreaking second novel, The Loved Ones, an interracial tale of two families, both named Lee. Chung will be in conversation with Julia Fierro, author of Cutting Teeth, which captures the zeitgeist of 30-somehting parents. These two engaging writers will discuss and read from their work, talk, Q&A, and sign their books.
Sonya Chung is also the author of Long for This World, and is a staff writer for The Millions and founding editor of Bloom. She is the recipient of a Pushcart Prize nomination, and the Charles Johnson Fiction Award. She teaches at Skidmore College.
Julia Fierro is also the author of the novel Gypsy Moth Summer, and her writing has appeared in The Millions, Buzzfeed, Glamour, Poets & Writers and other publications. She founded the Sackett Street Writers Workshop in 2002, named among the “Best Writing Classes.”

Melissa Chadburn is a writer and writing workshop teacher, whose book A Tiny Upward Shove is being published by Houghton Mifflin Harcourt in 2016.
Dana Johnson’s new book, In the Not Quite Dark is a sohort story collection. She is also the author of Break Any Woman Down and Elsewhere, California, and is a professor of English at USC.
Patrick Rosal is the author of four full length poetry collections, including his most recent, Brooklyn Antediluvian. He has taught at several institutions and appeared in many literary venues.
